We knew when Elisa Kendall graduated from Texas Christian High School last year, she would do great things! Elisa is a freshmen at East Texas Baptist University where she received a scholarship for tennis. Well, ETBU is not regretting their decision. Elisa is an undefeated freshmen playing against juniors and seniors and has been named Player of the Week for 3 weeks in a row now. The Tigers Varsity Football Team won the State Title in an exciting game this past Saturday. Texas Christian played a talented team from El Paso, TX.
Both teams played great defense, ran with heart, tackled strong and played to win. The game went into overtime where Texas Christian’s amazing defense held the Lions. As Tiger fans were gripping their seats with seconds to go, Texas Christian ran the final touchdown past the goal line naming them the
2016 State Champions.

Class of 2016 graduate, Elisa Kendall, was this year’s salutatorian and has been a student at Texas Christian since she was in the 1st grade. Elisa’s dedication was evident both inside and outside of the classroom as she came home with the TCAL Singles State Championship, making her a 4 Time State Champion.
Elisa strives to perfect her talent and it shines through in all the tennis tournaments she wins and the sportsmanship she displays. Elisa signed with East Texas Baptist University and is looking forward to the next part of her journey. The Texas Christian High School Tigers did it again! In February, the Tigers came home with the Varsity Basketball State Championship Trophy and this weekend they brought home with the Varsity Track State Championship Trophy. These boys used their God given talents of speed, muscle and the ability to jump. They have team work and dedication and we are so proud of their achievements this year! Can’t wait to see their State Rings!

Texas Christian beat Bryan Allen Academy who has won the state record 5 years in a row. The Texas Christian Family is ecstatic about the Tiger Team’s accomplishment and their outstanding season.

Congratulations to Morgan Kennon, a Junior at Texas Christian High School, for receiving an almost perfect score on his PSAT. Morgan qualified for the National Merit Scholarship and we could not be more proud of him! Way to work hard Morgan! You are an inspiration for many.
Owen Nugyen a 10th grader at Texas Christian High School painted a masterpiece of an aged cowboy that was entered into the Houston Rodeo Art Competition. Owen’s talent was recognized and awarded Best of Show in the High School division. You will see his painting displayed in the art case at the Houston Rodeo and will be auctioned off in March. Texas Christian submitted 6 works of art in the Rodeo Art Competition where they received Best of Show, 2 first place and 2 second place ribbons. Way to go Tigers!!!
